Obituary of Richard Miller Sr
Richard Paul Miller, Sr. 71, of Whiting, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 23, 2009 at Van Dyke Hospice in Toms River. He was a stationary engineer for Meritex, LLC, Piscataway, NJ. He was a US Navy veteran and a communicant of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, Whiting.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Dorothy; one daughter, Lisa Miller of Toms River; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Richard, Jr. and Joann of Keasbey and Kenneth of South Amboy; five brothers, Edward Miller of Keyport, Jesse Westcott of Perth Amboy, Mario Furlong of Holmdel, John Furlong and Carl Furlong, both of Pennsylvania; two sisters, Debra Farra of Jackson and Johanna Miltner of Virginia and three grandchildren, Megan, Melissa and Andrew.
Relatives and friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m., Sunday and 10 to 10:45 a.m., Monday morning at Manchester Memorial Funeral Home, 28 Schoolhouse Rd., Whiting. A Funeral Liturgy will be offered at 11 a.m., Monday at the All Saints Chapel of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, Whiting. Interment will follow at Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Arneytown. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to St. Jude Childrens Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1942.
