Obituary of Albert Rasmuson

Albert O. Rasmuson, 76, of Whiting, passed away Thursday, August 13, 2009 at the Van Dyke Hospice in Toms River. Born in Newark, he lived in Westwood before moving to Whiting in 1995. Albert was a Bus Driver for Rockland Coaches, Westwood for 26 years, retiring in 1994. He was a US Navy veteran of the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the Manchester Seniors and the Crestwood Village IV Residents Club. He was predeceased by his first wife, Veronica in 1995, his son, Kenneth in 1992 and his sister, Edna Seal in 2008. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Mahoney Rasmuson; four children, Veronica Brennan of Wayne, Ann Marie Lemieux of Glenrock, Edward of Lancaster, PA and Paul of Bethlehem, PA; one sister, Dorothy Spreeman of Doylestown, PA and nine grandchildren. Relatives and friends may call Sunday from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. followed by a funeral service at 5 p.m. at Manchester Memorial Funeral Home, 28 Schoolhouse Rd., Whiting. Interment will be Monday at 1 p.m. at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Totowa, NJ.
