Obituary of Margaret Tedesco

Margaret Cronin Tedesco, 78, of Charleston, SC, passed away Wednesday, August 12, 2009 at Ashley River Plantation Assisted Living in Charleston, SC. Born in Staten Island, NY, she lived in New Jersey until she moved with her family to Atlanta, GA in 1968. She moved to Charleston, SC in 2004 to be closer to her children. Margaret was a Registered Nurse from 1975 to 1998. As a later career, she taught English as a Second Language from 1998 to 2004 for the University of Georgia system at DeKalb Community College. She was a communicant of All Saints Church, Atlanta, GA. She loved to travel and be with her family, especially at Normandy Beach, NJ.. She was predeceased by her son, Richard Tedesco in August 1998 and her daughter, Sheran Watkins in December 2006. She is survived by four children, Joseph Tedesco of Charleston, SC, Commander Michael F. Tedesco, USN of Brussels, Belgium, Susie Gardiner Cump of Charleston, SC and Dr. Laurie Tedesco LeGrand of Charleston, SC; her former husband, Ferdinand D. Tedesco of Seabrook Island, SC; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Dennis and Alice Cronin of North Brunswick and Frank and Marilyn Cronin of Milltown, 16 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren and many beloved nieces, nephews and cousins. Relatives and friends are invited to call from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m., Sunday at Boylan Funeral Home, 188 Easton Avenue, New Brunswick, NJ. A Funeral Liturgy will be offered at 11 a.m., Monday at St. Peter's Roman Catholic Church, New Brunswick. Donations in her memory may be made to All Saints Catholic Church, Atlanta, GA or the Hospice of Charleston, SC.
