Obituary of Howard Saundry
Howard Gerald Saundry, 80, of Whiting, passed away on Tuesday, July 20th, at home. Born in Pompton Lakes, NJ, and resided in Wayne and Lady Lakes, FL, before moving to Whiting in 2005. Howard worked as an electrician for Singer-Kearfott. He was a member of the VFW Post 8745, Whiting. Howard was a Navy veteran, serving in the Korean War.
Howard was predeceased by his sister Irene Miller in 1976, and his brother, Richard in 2009. He is survived by his beloved wife of 30 years, Grace; two daughters, Debra Struck and her husband Bill, of Colorado Springs, CO, and Denise Thompson and her husband Ken of Colorado Springs, CO; a step-son Frederick Franco of Belvidere, NJ; a step-daughter, Sharon Franco of Elmwood Park, NJ; three grandchildren: Kim Spraggins, Shannon Wittrock, and Billy Struck; and six great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 12:45 p.m., on Monday, July 27, at Manchester Memorial Funeral Home, 28 Schoolhouse Rd, Whiting, with a service at 12 p.m. Interment will follow at Brig. General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Wrightstown, NJ. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Diabetes Association P.O.
