Obituary of Roger Hyer
ROGER L. HYER, 68, of Whiting, passed away Tuesday, June 2, at Community Medical Center in Toms River. Born in Jersey City, he lived in North Brunswick before moving to Whiting in 2007. Roger was a machinist for Accurate Bushing, Garwood and retired in 2008 from Gill Apartments, Cranford as a maintenance worker. He was a US Marine veteran of Vietnam and was a member of the VFW Post #9119 and the American Legion Post #60, both, of Roselle Park. He was a communicant of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, Whiting.
He is survived by his wife of 14 years, Rosie; three children, Lee, Kelly and Bryon; his mother, Vivian Robertson; one sister, Helena Roberts and four grandchildren.
A Memorial Mass will be offered at 10 a.m., Friday, in the All Saints Chapel of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, Whiting. Interment will follow in the Chapel. Arrangements are under the direction of Manchester Memorial Funeral Home, Whiting. Donations in his memory may be made to Disabled American Veterans (DAV), P. O. Box 14301, Cincinnati, OH 45250-0301.
