Obituary of Marjorie Mercier

Marjorie M. Mercier, 90, of Lakewood, passed away Monday, May 25, 2009, at the Fountain View Care Center in Lakewood. Born and raised in Jersey City, she lived in the Highlands and Gordonville, PA before moving to Whiting in 1986. She has lived in Lakewood for four years. Marjorie was a receptionist for J. H. Whitney Investment Co., New York City, NY for eight years, retiring in 1974. She was a communicant of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, Whiting and a member of the church's Altar Rosary Society. She was predeceased by her husband, William, in 1986. She is survived by one step-son, William Mercier; three nephews, Arthur Diemer and his wife, Maryann of Toms River, Bernie Diemer of Houston, TX, and Dennis Diemer of Anaheim, CA and one niece, Mary Shea of Silver Lake, OH. A Funeral Liturgy will be offered on Wednesday at the All Saints Chapel of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, 30 Schoolhouse Road, Whiting. Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Middletown. Arrangements are under the direction of Manchester Memorial Funeral Home, Whiting.
