Obituary of Robert Snavely

Robert R. Snavely, 92, of Annapolis, MD, formerly of Whiting, passed away Monday, February 16, at Baltimore Washington Medical Center in Glen Burnie, MD. Mr. Snavely was born in Lancaster, PA. He lived in Jersey City and Hillside before moving to Whiting in 1982. He lived there until 2006 when he moved to Annapolis, MD. He was a US Army veteran of World War II. He was a cameraman assistant for the Motion Picture Industry in New York City and Los Angeles, CA. He was a member of the International Photographers, Local 644, New York City, NY and the International Cinema-tography Guild for 50 years. Robert was predeceased by his wife, Evelyn in 1984 and his daughter, Marian Kopet in 1999. He is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Barbara and Charles Bowne of Annapolis, MD; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 10 to 10:45 a.m. Friday morning at Manchester Memorial Funeral Home, 28 Schoolhouse Road, Whiting. A funeral liturgy will follow at 11 a.m. in the All Saints Chapel of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, Whiting. Interment will be at Whiting Memorial Park, Whiting.
