Obituary of Loretta Matyo
Loretta Agnes Matyo, 86, of Orlando, FL, formerly of Whiting, MANCHESTER, NJ passed away Friday, October 17, at home in Orlando. Born in West New York, NJ, she lived there and in Whiting prior to moving to Orlando in 2006. She worked in the data processing department of the Hudson County Administration Building in Jersey City. During World War II, Loretta belonged to the PEDELM Packers, a group of friends who assembled and shipped care packages to servicemen overseas. She was also a member of the St. Mary's Rosary Society and the St. Martha's Group. She was a communicant of St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, West New York, and an advocate for Autistic research.
She was predeceased by her husband of 53 years, John, in 2006, her brother Patrick Dilworth in February 2008, and her parents Patrick and Anna Dilworth. Surviving are her daughter and son-in-law, Jude and Nick Cepero of Orlando, FL; her sister and brother-in-law, Ann and John Honebein of Barnegat; her brother and sister-in-law, George and Chris Dilworth of Las Cruces, NM, her sister-in-law, Gladys Dilworth of Parlin, NJ; two grandchildren, Daniel and Lauren Cepero, many loving nieces and nephews and her dear friend, Rebecca Thacker.
A Funeral Liturgy will be offered at 1 p.m., Friday in the All Saints Chapel of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton, Whiting. Burial will follow in the Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Arneytown, NJ.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions in her memory be made to the Special Olympics Florida, 1105 Citrus Tower Blvd., Clermont, FL 34711.
