Obituary of William Hadley
William R. Hadley, 86, of Whiting, passed away, surrounded by his loving family, on Tuesday, October 14, 2014 at home. Born and raised in Chicago. IL, he lived in Toms River for 30 years before moving to Whiting in 2005. He received his Masters Degree from Stonier Graduate School of Banking, Rutgers University in New Brunswick, NJ. He was a U.S. Army Air Corps veteran from 1946-1949 and the U.S. Air Force from 1951-1952. William (Bill) spent 40 years in banking and finance before ending his career as a Senior Vice President and Senior Loan Officer for the First National Bank of Toms River from 1976 to 1991. Bill was on the Finance and Transition Committee of Country Walk in Whiting. He was a communicant of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, Whiting.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 61 years, Patricia; four children, Karen M. Cayea and her husband, Frank, Robert W. and his wife, Patricia, James M. and his wife, Kathleen and Richard A. and his wife, Joyce and eight grandchildren, Cynthia, Michele, Diane, Thomas, Christopher, Stephanie, Kimberly and Andrew William.
Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m., Friday, Oct. 17th at Manchester Memorial Funeral Home, 28 Schoolhouse Road, Whiting. A Funeral Liturgy will be offered Saturday, Oct. 18th at 10:45 a.m. at the All Saints Chapel of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, Whiting.
