Obituary of James Loughlin
James J. Loughlin, 87, of the Whiting Section of Manchester Twp., died Thursday, September 18, 2008 Born in Pittston, PA, James lived in Orange, NJ for 28 years after which he moved to Whiting, NJ where he has lived for the past 26 years. James served as a staff sergeant with the 335th Bomb Squadron of the US Army Air Force during World War II in the Asiatic Pacific Theater. James worked as a systems engineer for 33 years at Public Service Electric & Gas Co. at the Bergen station, retiring in 1980. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Council 3533 in Livingston, NJ; the Holy Name Society of St. John's Parish, Orange, NJ and a communicant of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, Whiting, NJ.
James was predeceased by his first wife, Violet in 1953, by his second wife, Helen in 1994 and by his son, Henry in 1999. He is survived by his daughter with his first wife, Violet, Christina E. Loughlin and her husband Peter J. Mc Donald of Brick Township, NJ; his grandson Michael C. Randazzo and his wife, Jennifer and two great-grandchildren, Chelsea and Carly of Mount Olive Township, NJ.
Visitation will be held at the Manchester Memorial Funeral Home, 28 Schoolhouse Road, Whiting, NJ on Monday, September 22, 2008 from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. Interment to follow the funeral service at Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Wrightstown, NJ.
