Obituary of Jr. Fenton
WILLIAM FENTON, JR., 72, of Whiting, passed away Wednesday, August 27, at Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune. Born in Newark, he lived in Edison for 37 years before moving to Whiting in 2000. Mr. Fenton was a construction worker for the New York District Council of Carpenters, Local #1456, New York City, NY. He was a US Army veteran and was a communicant of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, Whiting.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Lorraine; three children, William J. Fenton of Whiting, Deborah Guenther of Kunkletown, PA and Darlene Benns of Barnegat; one brother, John Fenton of Freehold; two sisters, Marion Pulsfort of South Plainfield and Elaine Fenton of Lakewood and seven grandchildren.
Relatives and friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and 9 to 9:45 a.m. Wednesday at Manchester Memorial Funeral Home, 28 Schoolhouse Road, Whiting. A funeral liturgy will follow at 10 a.m. at the All Saints Chapel of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, Whiting. Interment will be in Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Arneytown.
