Obituary of Harold Rech
HAROLD ALFRED RECH, 81, of Crestwood Village I, Whiting, MANCHESTER., died Friday, August 15, at home. Born in Irvington, he lived in Middlesex County, Jacobstown, and Sterling, PA prior to moving to Whiting in 2002. Mr. Rech enjoyed boating, fishing, bowling, & golfing. He loved music and played many different instruments. He was a US Navy Veteran of World War II, serving with the Sea Bees.
Mr. Rech is survived by his wife of 60 years, Dorothy Sumski Rech; three daughters & sons-in-law, Judith Ann and FS Gilbert of New Hampshire, Jennifer Jane and Frank Leonard of Clarksburg, NJ, and Marjorie Ellen and Basilio Deichert of Hurst, TX; two sons & daughters-in-law, Harold Paul and Catherine Rech of New River, AZ, and Eric James and Helen Rech of Minneapolis, MN; one sister, Marie Otto of Sun Center City, FL; 15 grandchildren, Melanie Luce, Kristen Rech, Harold Rech, Garry Gilbert, Casey Rech, Dale Tyrrell, Amanda Tyrrell, Dorothy Leonard, Tory LaRochelle, Meredith Leonard, Kyle Rech, Emily Leonard, Jessica Miller, Stephanie Miller, & Chelsea Rech; one Step-Granddaughter, Mercedes Gilbert; and three great-grandsons.
Calling hours are Tuesday from 9 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. at the Manchester Memorial Funeral Home, 28 Schoolhouse Rd., Whiting, with a 12 noon Funeral Liturgy at the All Saints Chapel of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, Whiting. Interment will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the National Kidney Foundation, 30 East 33rd St., New York, NY 10016.
