Obituary of Alphonsus Tedesco

ALPHONSUS R. TEDESCO, 93, of Perth Amboy, passed away Monday, July 28, 2008 at Raritan Bay Medical Center in Perth Amboy. Mr. Tedesco was born in South Amboy and lived in Perth Amboy most of his life. She was a Supply Officer for the Department of Defense for 33 years, retiring in 1972. He was a US Army veteran of World War II. He was a communicant of Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church, Hopelawn and a member of the church's Holy Name Society and Senior's Bingo Worker. He was a member of the Catholic War Veterans Rosary Memorial Post #1613, the Knights of Columbus San Salvador Council #299 and Chapter 1000 of the National Asssociation of Retired Federal Employees, all of Perth Amboy. Mr. Tedesco was predeceased by his wife, Ann on June 4, 2008, his parents, Ferdinand and Bambina Tedesco, his brother, Joseph and his sister, Carmelita Coan. He is survived by two sons, Alan R. of Highlands, NJ and Richard F. of Edison, NJ; one brother, Armand F. of Whiting and two grandchildren. Relatives and friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and 8:30 a.m. to 9:15 a.m. Thursday morning at Flynn & Son Funeral Home, 23 Ford Avenue, Fords, NJ. A funeral liturgy will be offered at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church, Hopelawn. Interment will follow in Holy Rosary Cemetery, Hopelawn.
