Obituary of Rev. Edward Rutzler

EDWARD J. RUTZLER, SR., 89, of Cherry Hill, NJ, formerly of Kearny, NJ, passed away on Thursday, July 17 at home. Mr. Rutzler owned and operated Solar Liquors and E and A Liquors, both, in Newark, NJ. After retiring, he became a visiting Methodist Minister, ordained in Trinity United Methodist Church, Bayville. He was a US Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of the Grace United Methodist Church and Choir, the Kearny Optimist Club and the Orpheus Men's Glee Club of Newark.. He was predeceased by his wife, Mary A. in 1995 and one son, Robert in 2004. He is survived by four daughters, Sharon Livingstone and Katherine Salmon, both, of Kearny, Marilyn Cohen of Cherry Hill and Margaret Crincoli of Toms River; eight sons, Richard of North Carolina, Thomas of Florida, George of South Toms River, Edward of Toms River, Kenneth of Mays Landing, Fred of Edison Twp., Lawrence of Asbury Park and Eugene of Bayville; one brother, James Rutzler of Florida; three sisters, Gertrude Molnar of Lyndhurst, Lucille Tucker of Linden and Beatrice Hoyle of Texas; 37 grandchildren, 48 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren. Relatives and friends may call from 2 to 6 p.m., Sunday, July 20, at Manchester Memorial Funeral Home, 28 Schoolhouse Road, Whiting with a service at 5:30 p.m. in the funeral home.
