Obituary of Marjorie Harm
MARJORIE C. (MOLLET) HARM, 84, of Whiting, MANCHESTER, passed away Sunday, May 4, at Whiting Health Care Center in Manchester. Born in Queens, NY, she lived in Hermann, Missouri before moving to Whiting in 1994. She was an Executive Secretary for Augsburg Fortress Publishing House, Hicksville, NY, retiring in 1988. Prior to that, she worked for Hilton Hotels, New York City, NY for 12 years, retiring in 1956. She attended Heffley's Business College, New York City, NY and received her Associate Degree in 1944. She then attended Temple University, Philadelphia, PA where she received her Bachelor of Science Education Degree. Mrs. Harm was a member of Christ Lutheran Church, Whiting. She was a member of the church's Altar Guild, Women of the ELCA, Bereavement Group, and Holiday Crafters. She was a member of the Luther Players of Whiting and the American Legion Post #502 Ladies Auxiliary of Whiting.
She was predeceased by her parents, Howard and Margaret Mollet and her first husband, Henry (Frank) Adamy. She is survived by her husband, Rev. Dr. Frederick R. Harm; seven daughters, Janice Saverese of Smithtown, Long Island, NY, Carol Caputo of Morris Plains, Susan Patterson, of Macungie, PA, Mary Jo Taylor of Independence, MO, Judith Ryman, Becky Untiedt and Bonnie Pechous, all, of Illinois; three sons, Howard Adamy of Doylestown, PA, Frederick Harm of Centralia, IL and Scott Harm of Illinois; 25 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. and Thursday morning from 9 to 10:15 a.m. at Manchester Memorial Funeral Home, 28 Schoolhouse Road, Whiting followed by a Funeral Service at 10:30 a.m., at Christ Lutheran Church, Whiting.
