Obituary of Joseph Gaveglia

Joseph A. Gaveglia, 78, of Whiting, passed away Wednesday, May 29, 2013 at Van Dyke Hospice in Toms River. He was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY and lived in Sayreville, NJ before moving to Whiting 11 years ago. Joseph was a postal carrier for the U.S. Post Office in Brooklyn, NY for 28 years. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran. Joseph was an avid bowler. He was a communicant of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, Whiting. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Diane (nee Nagy); two sons, Thomas Gaveglia and his wife, Cristina of Howard Beach, NY and John Gaveglia of Allentown, NJ and four grandchildren, Michelle, Daphne, Carla and Peter. A Funeral Liturgy will be offered at 9 a.m., Saturday, June 1st at the All Saints Chapel of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, Whiting. Arrangements are under the direction of Manchester Memorial Funeral Home, Whiting.
