Obituary of Edna Wojie

Edna A. Wojie, 92, of Crestwood Manor in Whiting, passed away Wednesday, May 08, 2013. She was born in South Amboy, the daughter of John and Anna (Wrobel) Wojciechowski. She lived in Yardville for several years before moving to Whiting in 1986. She worked at the Squibb Institute for Medical Research (now, Bristol-Meyers/Squibb) in Princeton for over 40 years as secretary in the International Regulatory Affairs Division. Ms. Wojie was a communicant of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, Whiting and a member of the church's Altar Rosary Society and Rosary Makers. She was predeceased by her brother and sister-in-law, Joseph and Anna Wojie of South Amboy and her sister and brother-in-law, Anne W. and Henry Zimmerman of Whiting. She is survived by her niece, Barbara Deem and her husband, Charles; her nephew, John J. Wojie and his wife, Beverly and several great and great- great nieces and nephews. There will be no calling hours. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 9 a.m., Saturday, May 11th at the All Saints Chapel of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, Whiting. Interment will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery in South Amboy. Arrangements are under the direction of Manchester Memorial Funeral Home, Whiting.
