Obituary of Rosella Smith

Rosella Smith, 77, of Whiting, passed away Monday, April 29, 2013 in Richmond, VA. Rosella was born in Southampton, VA. She moved to Whiting over 60 years ago. She worked as a cook for 30 years, then as a home health aide for the Ocean County Health Department for 15 years. Surviving are her four children and their spouses, Leroy Smith, Jr. of Lakehurst, Rosemary Saint James of Richmond, VA, Patricia Glover of South Toms River and Carl Smith of Toms River. Also surviving are six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held from 6 to 7 p.m., Friday, May 3rd at Mimms Funeral Home, 1827 Hull Street, Richmond, VA 23224. A Memorial Service will be held at 1:30 p.m., Saturday, May 4th. She will be layed to rest Wednesday, May 8th, at Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Arneytown, with her late husband, Leroy Smith, Sr. Condolences may be sent to Mimms Funeral Home.
