Obituary of Linda Derby

LINDA A. DERBY, 57, of Whiting, MANCHESTER, died Saturday, March 22, at home. Mrs. Derby was born in East Orange, NJ and lived in New Gretna, NJ before moving to Whiting in 1981. She was a Copy Representative for Copy Request, South River, NJ for five years. She was a communicant of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, Whiting. She was predeceased by her sister, Lorraine Porawski on March 3, 2008 and her grandson, Spencer in March 2002. She is survived by her husband, Ernest; six children, Michael and Brenda Peersen, Karen Brush, Christine Gross, Scott Derby and Amy Brandenburg; her mother, Lorraine Porawski; two brothers, Robert and Edward Porawski; and 13 grandchildren. Relatives and friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and 10 to 10:45 a.m. Wednesday at the Manchester Memorial Funeral Home, 28 Schoolhouse Road, Whiting. A Funeral Liturgy will be offered at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the All Saints Chapel of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, Whiting.
