Obituary of Eleanor Voltmer
ELEANOR E. VOLTMER, 81, of Whiting, MANCHESTER, passed away on Thursday, March 20, at Community Medical Center in Toms River. Mrs. Voltmer was born in the Bronx, NY. She lived in Dillon, SC and Tucson, AZ before moving to Whiting 17 years ago. She was a Secretary at Pima County College, Tucson, AZ. She was "mother" to many of the prisoners at the Arizona Correctional Facility, followed by a standing ovation from all her "sons" upon her retirement in 1988. She volunteered at Crestwood Village for many years and was a member of the Residents Club. She was a communicant of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, Whiting.
She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Herman; her five beloved children and their spouses, Roy Voltmer, Barbara Infantino and her fiance, Allan, Janis Voltmer and her husband, Jimmy Pugliese, Nancy Mastro and her husband, Lou and Bill Voltmer and his wife, Laura; her cherished grandchildren, Aileen, Connie, Alison, Greg, Eric, Michael and Annie; her cherished great-grandchildren, Ian, Ariana and Mac and her beloved friend, Marcia Adrian.
A Memorial Mass will be offered at 11a.m., Monday in the All Saints Chapel of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, Whiting. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, 30 Schoolhouse Road, Whiting, NJ 08759 would be appreciated. In addition, there will be a memorial service on Saturday, March 29, at 11a.m., at Manchester Memorial Funeral Home 28 Schoolhouse Road, Whiting.
