Obituary of Michael Boyle

MICHAEL P. BOYLE, 81, of Whiting, MANCHESTER, NJ and Eustis, FL, passed away Saturday, March 15, at Florida Hospital-Waterman. Born in Brooklyn, NY, he lived in Centereach, Long Island, NY before moving to Whiting, NJ and Eustic, FL 13 years ago. Mr. Boyle was an Engineer for CBS in New York City, NY for 38 years, retiring in 1988. He was a US Navy veteran of World War II and was a member of the American Legion, St. James Post. He was a devote catholic and a communicant of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, Whiting. He lived life based on helping others. He was never selfish. He donated his blood for testing to help find a cure for Myelodysplastic Syndrome. He was funny, always joking, loved to sing and pray. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Patricia; four children, Michael Patrick Boyle, Marianne T. Boyle-Croke, Dennis A. Boyle and Elaine P. Krull and six grandchildren, Timothy, Daniel, Kevin, Joseph, Julia Rose and Brigette. A viewing will be held on Monday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. and Tuesday morning from 10 to 10:45 a.m. at Manchester Memorial Funeral Home, 28 Schoolhouse Road, Whiting. A funeral liturgy will follow at 11 a.m. from the All Saints Chapel of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, Whiting. Interment will be in Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Arneytown. In lieu of flowers, contributions in his name may be made to the American Cancer Society or St. Jude's Research Hospital.
