Obituary of Joseph Urban Jr.

JOSEPH URBAN, JR., 94, of Whiting, MANCHESTER, passed away Monday, March 3, at South Jersey Healthcare Regional Medical Center in Vineland, NJ. Born in Wilkes-Barre, PA, he lived in Wrightstown, NJ before moving to Whiting in 1983. Mr. Urban was a Master Sergeant in the US Army for 26 years. He then worked as a Rural Carrier for the Wrightstown Post Office for 26 years. He was the Ex-Commander of the Wrightstown V.F.W. and the Ex-Commander of the Military of the Purple Heart. He was predeceased by his first wife, Simone in 1991. Surviving are his wife of 16 years, Ursula; one step-daughter, Christine Sirot; one sister, Helen Stelmack; one nephew, Edward Stelmack and one step-grandchild, Caine Sirot. Interment will be Friday at 12 noon in Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Arneytown. Donations in his memory may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1035 Hooper Avenue, Toms River, NJ 08753. Arrangements are under the direction of Manchester Memorial Funeral Home, Whiting.
