Obituary of Phillip Bianco

PHILLIP J. BIANCO, 57, of Crestwood Village V, Whiting, MANCHESTER, died Monday, February 25, at Community Medical Center in Toms River. Born in Long Island, NY, he lived in Bloomfield, NJ before moving to Whiting in 1995. He was the Mayor's Veterans Administration Representative of Manchester Township. Mr. Bianco was a US Army veteran of Vietnam. He was a member of the Vietnam Veterans of America, Chapter 510, Cedar Grove, NJ and was also a member of the Disabled American Veterans, Chapter 24, Toms River. Phil devoted much of his time and personal funds for his Christmas Toys Charity for many residents of Ocean County. He was a communicant of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, Whiting. He was predeceased by his mother, Josephine, in 2001 and his brother, Robert, in 1986. He is survived by his father, Sam F. Bianco of Whiting; one nephew, Robert Bianco, Jr. of Omaha, Neb., one niece, Jaqueline of Omaha, Neb.; his cousin, Nick Melchionna and his wife, Letizia of Lakewood; two great nieces and several other cousins. Relatives and friends may call Monday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. and Tuesday morning from 9 to 9:45 a.m. at Manchester Memorial Funeral Home, 28 Schoolhouse Road, Whiting. A funeral liturgy will follow at 10 a.m. in the All Saints Chapel of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, Whiting. Interment will be at Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Arneytown. Donations in his memory may be made to the Vietnam Veterans of America, Chapter 510, P.O. Box 448, Cedar Grove, NJ 07009 for the Toy Drive.
