Obituary of Mary Volo

Mary Josephine Volo (nee Szymankiewicz), 81, of Whiting, passed away Tuesday, February 12, 2013 at the Van Dyke Hospice in Toms River. Born in Manhattan, NY, she lived in Brooklyn, NY before moving to Whiting in 2004. Mary was an administrative assistant with Bank Leumi, USA, New York City, NY for 15 years. She was a communicant of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, Whiting. She is survived by her beloved husband of 58 years, John J. Volo; two children, her son, Paul C. Volo and his wife, Carol of Suffern, NY; her daughter, Loretta Impastato and her husband, James of Freehold, NJ; one brother, Raymond Szymaniewicz of Sidel, LA; five grandchildren, Jonathan and his wife, Melissa, Andrew, Jenna, Thomas and Olivia and one great-granddaughter, Juliette. A memorial gathering will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 20th at Manchester Memorial Funeral Home, 28 Schoolhouse Road, Whiting. Interment of cremains will follow at Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Arneytown.
