Obituary of Helen Scott
Helen R. Scott, 84, of Whiting, passed away Tuesday, January 22, 2013 at Deborah Heart and Lung Center in Browns Mills, NJ. Born in Brooklyn, NY, she moved to Sayreville, NJ in 1954 before coming to Whiting in 1992. Helen was a homemaker and she also worked at South Amboy Hospital in housekeeping. She retired from Blonder Tongue Laboratories, Inc, Old Bridge, NJ. She worked for the Sayreville Board of Elections and the Ocean County Board of Elections in Manchester Township. She was a former communicant of St. Bernadette Church, Old Bridge and a communicant of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, Whiting.
Helen is survived by her husband of 64 years, Richard F. Scott; three daughters, Jane Minnella, Laura Kasnowski and Nancy Chin; five sons, James, Thomas, Daniel, Michael and Jeffrey; 14 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m., Sunday, Jan. 27th and 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Monday, Jan. 28th at Manchester Memorial Funeral Home, 28 Schoolhouse Rd., Whiting. A Funeral Liturgy will follow at 10:45 a.m. at the All Saints Chapel of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, Whiting. Entombment will be at Franklin Memorial Park, North Brunswick, NJ.
Helen Scott worked with Alzheimer's patients for a number of years and had family members and friends affected by the disease. In lieu of flowers, she would truly appreciate a donation to the Alzheimer's Association.
