Obituary of James Feeney
James E. Feeney, 87, of Holiday City, Toms River, passed away Monday, January 7, 2013 at home. Born in Bayonne, he lived in Wanamassa before moving to Toms River in 1979. He was a mechanic, retiring in 1990. He was a U.S. Army Air Corp veteran of World War II serving in the China, Burma, India Theater. James was a member of the VFW Post 9503 of Bayville, the AMVETS Post #2 of Jackson and the American Legion Post 129 of Toms River. He was a communicant of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Toms River.
He was predeceased by his wife, Margaret Feeney in 2005 and his brother, Michael Feeney in 2005. He is survived by two daughters, Barbara Keenan of Tinton Falls and Jill Tralka and her husband, Vincent of West Belmar; three sons, Timothy and his wife, Laura of New York, Neil and his wife, Lori of Ocean and Scott and his wife, Elizabeth of Scituate, MA; 13 grandchildren and one great-grandson.
A Funeral Liturgy will be offered at 11 a.m., Friday, Jan. 11th at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Toms River. Arrangements are under the direction of Manchester Memorial Funeral Home, Whiting. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory, may be made to Van Dyke Hospice, 99 Route 37 West, Toms River, NJ 08755-6423.
