Obituary of Florence Armstrong

Florence Baluha Armstrong, 86, of Whiting, Manchester Twp., died Monday, December 24, 2007 at Crestwood Manor Nursing Home, Whiting. Born in Bayonne, she moved to Manasquan in 1968 and then to Whiting in 1983. She was a member of the Ladies Auxillary of the VFW, Whiting Memorial Post #8745 and the Red Hat Society of Crestwood Manor. She was a member of Rosary Altar Society of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church. She was a communicant of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, Whiting. Mrs. Armstrong was predeceased by her first husband, Bernard Baluha in 1976 and by her second husband, J. Herbert Armstrong in 2004. Surviving are three children, Christine Carluccio of Rocklege, FL; Warren F. Baluha of Lakewood, NJ; and Neil A. Baluha of Wellington, FL; two brothers, Thomas and Edward Spirko, both of Whiting; Seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Visiting hours on Thursday, 2-4 & 7-9 PM and Friday from 9:00 to 9:45 AM at the Manchester Memorial Funeral Home, 28 Schoolhouse Rd., Whiting. A Funeral Liturgy will be offered on Friday at 10 AM from the All Saints Chapel at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, Whiting, with Interment to follow in St. Catherine's Cemetery, Wall Twp.
