Obituary of Charles Corris

Charles Arthur Corris, 80, of Whiting, Manchester, formerly of Bayville, passed away on November 7, at Community Medical Center in Toms River. He was born in Jersey City. Charles lived in Bayville for 15 years before moving to Whiting 3 months ago. He worked for National Telephone Directory Corp for 20 years, retiring in 1992. Charles was an antique car collector and a member of the Nash Car Club. He was a veteran of the Navy serving during both World War II and the Korean Conflict. Charles is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Mary, sons Charles of Belleville,and Paul and his wife Regina of St. Charles, IL; one daughter Mary Ann and her husband Cameron Hillis of Pompano Beach, FL; brother, Joseph Corris; sisters Lillian Corris, Evelyn Hancheck, and Kathleen Seale; and three grandchildren. Visiting Monday, Nov. 12, 2007 from 2-4 & 7-9 PM. Funeral Liturgy Tuesday, Nov. 13, 2007 at 10:00 AM, All Saints Chapel at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, Whiting. Interment to follow in the Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veterans' Memorial Cemetery, Arneytown. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Heart Association 2550 US Hwy 1, North Brunswick, NJ 08902-4301.
