Obituary of Mary Batties
MARY J. BATTIES, 78, of Florence, NJ, formerly of Whiting, MANCHESTER, passed away Saturday, October 27, at the Lawrenceville Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. She was a communicant of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, Whiting and a member of the church's Altar Rosary Society. She was a volunteer for Somebody C.A.R.E.S., Inc. and a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the American Legion #502, both, in Whiting. She was predeceased by her parents, Joseph and Grace (Rumbolo) Palmieri; her husband, John J. Batties; her brothers, Anthony, Frank and Louis Palmieri and her sister Connie Russell. She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, John G. and Penny Batties of Florence, with whom she resided and Samuel C. and Kim Batties of Royersford, PA; one sister, Jennie Palmieri of Whiting; five grandchildren and their spouses, Danielle and Michael Rockhill, Jennifer and Kenneth Reynolds and Melissa, Allison and Christopher Batties and three great-grandchildren, Kerianne and Mackenzie Rockhill and Jordan Reynolds. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and good friends. Relatives and friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Manchester Memorial Funeral Home, 28 Schoolhouse Road, Whiting. A Funeral Liturgy will be offered 10 a.m. Friday in the All Saints Chapel of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, Whiting. Interment will follow at Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Arneytown.
