Obituary of Daniel Brennan
Daniel Joseph Brennan, 75, of Whiting, passed away Sunday, August 19, 2012. His death followed a long fight with Alzheimer's disease, which, with the daily help and friendship of his loving wife, Patricia, he accepted and continued to live a full life. Danny was born March 29, 1937 in Staten Island, NY to the late Catherine Latsch and John W. Brennan; their only child. He graduated from Red Bank Catholic High School in 1954 and married Patricia Chamberlain on October 10, 1959. They lived in Eatontown, and Jackson, NJ, before relocating to Whiting in 1997. Danny served in the U.S. Air Force from 1954 - 1959. He was employed for 30 years by the U.S. Department of the Army in Fort Monmouth, NJ, where he was a mechanical designer. Following retirement, he played trombone as a member of the Ocean Grove Summer Band and sang Bass in the church choir. Danny was an active member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church and attended daily mass with his wife, Patricia. He loved the Lord and provided a heritage for his children as he taught them to appreciate God's goodness.
In addition to his wife, Danny is survived by five children: Danielle Knowland; John Brennan; Gregory Brennan; Marjorie Ambrosio and Bill Brennan; 22 grandchildren & 3 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be on Wednesday from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the Manchester Memorial Funeral Home, 28 Schoolhouse Road., Whiting, NJ. Funeral Liturgy on Thursday at 10:45 am from the All Saints Chapel of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton R.C. Church, Whiting.
