Obituary of Eileen Ernest

EILEEN M. ERNEST, 86, of Crestwood Village VI, Whiting, MANCHESTER, died Sunday, October 14 at the Van Dyke Hospice & Palliative Care Center in Toms River. She was a Secretary for Belco Pollution, Inc., Parsippany, for 10 years, retiring in 1985. She was a communicant of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, Whiting and a member of the church's Altar Rosary Society. She was a member of the Shuffleboard Club of Village VI and the Deerfield Singles. She was involved with the Girl Scouts of North Jersey for 30 years. Born in Paterson, she lived in Hawthorne and Saddle Brook before moving to Whiting in 1985. She was predeceased by her daughter, Charleen Hard in 2006 and her sister Elinor Woods. Surviving are one son and daughter-in-law, Charles and Janet Ernest of Ellicott City, MD; one niece, Jane Oliver of Littleton, CO; one nephew, Daniel Woods of Santa Monica, CA; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. A Memorial Mass will be offered Friday at 11 a.m. in the All Saints Chapel of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, Whiting. A second Memorial Mass will be offered Saturday at 11 a.m. from St. Anthony's Church in Fair Lawn followed by interment in Fair Lawn Cemetery.
