Obituary of Paul Koehler

PAUL STANLEY KOEHLER, 83, of Whiting, MANCHESTER, died Saturday, October 13. He worked in management for Penske Power and Atlantic Detroit Diesel Allison from which he retired in 1988. Paul was a US Army veteran of World War II. He served with the 630th Tank Destroyer Battalion, 28th Division in Germany. Paul was a gentle, dear, kind and loving husband, father and pop-pop. All his family and friends will miss him as he could never be replaced. He is survived by his beloved wife, Joan; four children and their spouses, Paulette and Al Oslislo, Wayne and Judy Koehler, Robin and Thomas Beers and Wendy and George Ahlers; six grandchildren and their spouses, Dawn and Steven Rakett, Michelle and Sajith Mathew, Ryan and Michelle Koehler, Kimberly and Brendon Green, Alexander and Christian Beers and Amy Ahlers and four great-grandchildren, Matthew, Devin, Kayla and Dylan. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at Manchester Memorial Funeral Home, 28 Schoolhouse Road, Whiting, with a funeral service to follow at 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
