Obituary of Sr. Jordan

Robert C. Jordan, Sr., 87, of Whiting, passed away Wednesday, June 27, 2012 at home. Born in Boston, MA, he lived in East Brunswick, NJ and Spring Hill, FL before moving to Whiting in 1994. He was a clerk for General Motors Corp., North Brunswick for 35 years, retiring in 1983. Robert was a U.S. Army veteran. He served with the 788th Amphibian Tractor Patrol in World War II. He was a member of the UAW Local, Wall Twp., the American Legion, the Safety Patrol and was District Representative of the Residents Club of Village VI. He was a Volunteer for Somebody C.A.R.E.S. and was a communicant of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, Whiting and a member of the church's Helping Hands. Robert was predeceased by his wife Carol in 2009; his sister, Margaret McLaughin and three brothers, Willard, Charles and Paul. Surviving are 2 daughters, Frances Jane McNinch of New Hope, PA and Lisa Anne Sucena of Mastic Beach, L.I., NY; 4 sons, Christopher Paul of Panama City, FL, Robert C., Jr. of Jackson, Michael Edward of Newport News, VA and Patrick Brian of Navarre, FL; 2 sisters, Dorothy Miller of Lakewood and Marion McKeon of Connecticut and 12 grandchildren. Relatives and friends may call on Saturday, June 30th from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. at Manchester Memorial Funeral Home, 28 Schoolhouse Rd., Whiting. A Funeral Liturgy will follow at 10:45 a.m. at the All Saints Chapel of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, Whiting.
