Obituary of Anthony Russo

Anthony Joseph Russo, 88, of Whiting, passed away Sunday, February 19, 2012 at home. Born in Asbury Park, he lived in Colts Neck before moving to Whiting in 2003. He was an entrepreneur business owner in theToms River area. Anthony was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. He was a member of the DAV, American Legion, Knights of Columbus and Sons of Italy. He was a communicant of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, Whiting. Anthony was predeceased by his sisters, Cecilia Sestito and Ann Martone. He is survived by his beloved wife of 65 years, Jane; three children and their spouses, Janet and Cal DeCoursey, Bob and Cindy Russo and Eileen and Jeff Shultz; two brothers, Joseph Russo and Senator John F. Russo; two sisters, Teresa Freda and Carole Marzarella and five grandchildren, Suzanne and Paul DeCoursey, Amanda and Robert Russo and Andrew Shultz. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m., Sunday, Feb. 26 at Manchester Memorial Funeral Home, 28 Schoolhouse Road, Whiting. A Funeral Liturgy will be offered at 10:45 a.m., Monday, Feb. 27 at the All Saints Chapel of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, Whiting. Interment will be at 2:30 p.m. at Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Arneytown.
