Obituary of Teresa O'Rourke

Teresa C. O'Rourke, 75, passed away on Tuesday, February 7, 2012, at home with her beloved husband Eugene and loving family by her side after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Teresa was born in Keyport and was raised in Belford. Teresa worked as a secretary at Fort Monmouth for many years. She and Eugene were married for over 55 years. They raised their family in Neptune and Atlantic Highlands before retiring to Florida in 1991. They moved back to New Jersey to Crestwood Village I in 2000. She was a communicant of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church in Whiting. She is survived by her son Jim O'Rourke and his wife Mary; her daughters Kim Stone and her husband, Stu; and Sharon Ransom and her husband, Bob; one sister, Mary Eisenmann; three brothers, Chris Grasso and his wife, Florence, Gene Grasso and Peter Grasso and his wife, Bessie; one sister-in-law, Marilyn Gerbig and her husband, Ken. She is also survived by eight grandsons whom she loved with all her heart and was very proud of, Sean, Kyle and Michael O'Rourke; Eric Stone and his wife, Christina, Kevin and Brian Stone and Steven and Chris Ransom; one great-granddaughter, Hannah Stone and many loving nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 5 to 8:30 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 10th at Manchester Memorial Funeral Home, 28 Schoolhouse Road, Whiting. A Funeral Liturgy will be offered at 10:45 a.m., Saturday, Feb. 11th at the All Saints Chapel of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, Whiting. Interment will be private. .
