Obituary of Irene Ruschak

Irene Ruschak, 84, of Whiting, NJ and Hobe Sound, FL, passed away Saturday, September 19, 2015 at Community Medical Center in Toms River, NJ. She was born in Carteret, NJ where she lived until she moved to Whiting and Florida in 1990. Irene was a switchboard operator at Rahway Hospital. She was a member of the Sweet Adeline’s in New Jersey, the Treasure Coast Community Singers and St. Joseph’s Choir, both of Stuart, FL. She was a volunteer for the Carpenters Kitchen in Florida and a communicant of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, Whiting, NJ and St. Joseph’s Church, Stuart, FL. Irene was predeceased by her husband, John Ruschak in 2002, her son, Alan Ruschak in 1990 and her brother, John Novak in 2013. She is survived by one daughter, Susan Angelo of Hillsborough, NJ; one son, Blane Ruschak and his partner, Baron McCaskill of Mount Pleasant, SC and two grandchildren, Nicholas and Maryrose. A Memorial Mass will be offered Friday, Sept. 25th at 10:45 a.m. at the All Saints Chapel of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, Whiting. Inurnment will follow at Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Arneytown. Arrangements are under the direction of Manchester Memorial Funeral Home, Whiting.
