Obituary of Dorothy Ann Essex

Dorothy Ann Essex, 84, of Forked River, passed away Thursday, September 17, 2015. Born and raised in Watchung, NJ, she lived in Waretown before moving to Forked River in 2005. She raised Dachshunds and enjoyed making and teaching ceramics. Dorothy was predeceased by two brothers, Roger and Richard Schwoerer; two sisters, Louise Major and Lettie Rowbotham and her step-son, Allen John Essex. She is survived by her husband of 39 years, John Essex; four children, Doreen Piscatello of Clark, NJ, Douglas Pellegrino of Newton, NJ, Donald Pellegrino of Pennsylvania and Diane Miller of Pennsylvania; four step-children, Cindy Chamberland, Terry Tempe, Karen Snyder and Linda Essex; five grandchildren; seven step-grandchildren; nine step-great-grandchildren and one step-great-great grandchild. Services are private under the direction of Manchester Memorial Funeral Home, Whiting.
