Obituary of Bernadette D. Jones

Bernadette (Bea) D. Jones, 78, of Whiting, passed away Monday, August 17, 2015 at Community Medical Center in Toms River. Born in Newark, she lived in South River before moving to Whiting in 2002. Bernadette was an LPN at RCHP, New Brunswick for many years. She was the Past President of the Women’s Auxiliary Post 133 , East Brunswick; a dispatcher for C.A.R.E.S.; Treasurer of the Women’s Club of Village 4; Bingo Club helper; Emergency Management team member; loved gardening and her flowers; loved concerts at the lake, traveling and reading and most of all loved being a Nana and Mother. Bernadette was predeceased by her husband of 60 years, John Jones in 2009 and her sister, Margaret Blair. She is survived by her eight children and their spouses, Cynthia and David Gregory of Murphysboro, IL, Denise and David Key of Hot Springs, AR, Laura and John Curtin of Forks Twp., PA, Steven and Linda Jones of Nazareth, PA, Kenneth Jones of Plumsted, Michael and Diane Jones, of South River, Kelly Keppe of Hamilton and Tracey and Mark Osterman of Plumsted; daughter-in-law, Lorraine Jones; 15 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be Friday, Aug. 21st from 2 to 4 p.m. & 7 to 9 p.m. at Manchester Memorial Funeral Home, 28 Schoolhouse Rd., Whiting. A Funeral Service will be held at 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
