Obituary of Frank Golden
Frank Golden, our beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, has passed.
Born in the Bronx, New York on March 11, 1931, Frank served in the US Navy during the Korean War, supported his family as a proud member of the New York City Fire Department and later the IBM Corporation. He was a resident of New City, NY and retired to Whiting, NJ. He lived for his wife of 58 years, Maureen and his children, Frank, John, Greg, Billy, Linda and Kit. His family grew to include daughters-in-law Johanna, Margie and Sheila, sons-in-law Greg Ferguson and Tom Mangan, 15 grandchildren and two great grandchildren, all of whom were loved by him, and loved him greatly in return. Frank was predeceased by his brother, Gerard Golden and is survived by his sisters, Marge O'Neill and Sr. Dorothy (Alyce) Golden.
His life was lived with faith, honesty, and the courage of his own convictions. His family is his legacy.
Visitation will be Monday, April 13th from 3 to 8 p.m. at Manchester Memorial Funeral Home, 28 Schoolhouse Rd., Whiting. A Funeral Liturgy will be offered Tuesday, April 14th at 10 a.m. at St. Robert Bellarmine R. C. Church, 61 Georgia Rd., Freehold, NJ. Interment will follow at Ascension Cemetery, Airmont, NY.
