Obituary of John Julian
John R. Julian, 90, of Whiting, passed away Saturday, February 21, 2015 at Whiting HealthCare in Whiting, NJ. Born in Newark, he lived in Union for over 40 years before moving to Whiting in 1990.
John proudly served in the U.S. Navy in the Pacific Theater during World War II as a Machinist Mate First Class on the USS Grayling submarine. He worked at Thermal Refrigeration and Heating in Edison and later as a Project Manager for Mosler Safe in Wayne from which he retired in 1986. John was a Past Exalted Ruler of the East Orange B.P.O.E. and was a member of the V.F.W.
He was predeceased by his wife, Jean, in 2004 and siblings Thomas, Mildred, Louise, Frances and Minnie. He is survived by a son, John, Jr. of Tyrone, NY, and his wife Corinne, and a daughter, Nancy of Spotswood, NJ and her husband Norman. He is also survived by a sister, Roberta, of Mechanicville, N.Y. and many loving nieces and nephews.
John had a huge heart … a good man who was always there for anyone in need.
Viewing will be at Manchester Memorial Funeral Home, 28 Schoolhouse Rd, Whiting, NJ on Tuesday, February 24th from 2:00 to 4:00pm.
