Obituary of Claudia Aschenbrenner
Claudia A. Aschenbrenner, 78, of Surf City, Long Beach Island, NJ, passed away Monday, December 22, 2014 at home. Born in Plainfield, NJ, she lived in Westfield before moving to Surf City 23 years ago. Claudia was a teacher and department head for the Westfield Board of Education, Westfield, NJ. She was a volunteer for the Southern Ocean County Hospital Auxiliary and worked at the Old and New Thrift Shop. She was a member of the Surf City Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary and the South Bay Seniors. She was a parishioner of St. Thomas of Villanova Roman Catholic Church, Surf City.
Claudia is survived by her beloved husband of 51 years, Frank J. Aschenbrenner; one sister, Leila Rizzo of North Plainfield and many nieces and nephews.
The family will be receiving friends on Monday, Dec. 29th from 10 to 11 a.m. at St. Thomas of Villanova Roman Catholic Church, 13th Street & Long Beach Blvd., Surf City, NJ. A Memorial Mass will follow at 11 a.m. at the church. Arrangements are under the direction of Aaron Cremation Associates, Inc., Whiting, NJ. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory to the Surf City Volunteer Fire Department would be appreciated.
