Obituary of Carmella Archer

Carmella Rose Archer, 82, of Whiting, passed away peacefully Wednesday, November 26, 2014 at home. Born in Luzerne, PA, formerly of Jersey City and Wood-Ridge, she and her husband moved to Whiting in 1998. She was a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother who loved to cook Italian and made a mean stuffed shell. She volunteered at her children's grammar school and for the Girl Scouts. Carmella was a devoted Catholic and a communicant of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, Whiting. She was predeceased by her siblings, Mary, Vivian, Pauline, Lucian and Anthony and her son-in-law, Stephen J. Fiorelli. She is survived by her beloved husband of 58 years, Thomas C. Archer; four children, Karen Perizes and her husband, George of Long Grove, IL, Theresa Fiorelli and her husband, Kevin Casey of Fair Haven, NJ, Thomas C. Archer, II and his wife, Michele of Aberdeen, NJ and Carmel Boler and her husband, James of Mechanicsville, VA; one brother, Patrick Amato of Fairlawn, NJ; two sisters, Anna Amato of Brick, NJ and Shirley Panetta and her husband, Frank of Brick, NJ; and 11 grandchildren, Fotis, Alex, Robert, Ryan, Jamie Lynn, Stephen, Christine, Thomas III, Matthew, Tyler and Matthew Casey. Visitation will be Friday, Nov. 28th from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Manchester Memorial Funeral Home, 28 Schoolhouse Rd., Whiting, NJ. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 9 a.m., Saturday, Nov. 29th at St. Clement Church, 172 Freneau Ave., Matawan, NJ 07747. Interment will follow at Holmdel Cemetery, Holmdel, NJ.
