Obituary of Gaetano (Tom) DeLuca

Gaetano (Tom) DeLuca, 93, of Whiting, passed away Sunday, November 23, 2014 at home. Born in New York City, NY, he lived in Elmont, Long Island, NY and Pompton Lakes, NJ for 15 years before moving to Whiting in 1993. Tom was a warehouse manager for Heller and Usdan Paper/U.S. Cordage Co. in Moonachie, NJ. He was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran of World War II, a member of the VFW and Sons of Italy in Pompton Lakes. He was a communicant of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, Whiting. Tom was predeceased by his daughter, Maria DeLuca in 2012. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Lucille; three children, John DeLuca of Sparta, NJ, Francine Rasa and Lucille Kuser, both of Denville, NJ; one brother, Antonio DeLuca of Whiting; one sister, Emma Chionchio of Avenel, NJ and five grandchildren. Visitation will be Friday, Nov. 28th from 9 to 10:30 a.m. at Manchester Memorial Funeral Home, 28 Schoolhouse Road, Whiting followed by a Funeral Liturgy at 10:45 a.m. at the All Saints Chapel of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, Whiting. Interment will be Monday Dec. 1st at 10:30 a.m. at Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Arneytown.
