Obituary of Thomas Franco
Thomas N. Franco, 89, of Whiting Passed away Sunday, June 15, 2014 of complications of surgery. Born on January 19, 1925 in Emerson, NJ, he proudly served in the U.S. Army with the 65th Field Artillery Battalion. He was discharged as a Disabled Veteran due to a Service related illness. Thomas was the owner of Four Seasons Home Improvements in the Woodbridge and Rahway areas for many years. He was an excellent bowler and golfer who had 6 Hole-in-Ones. Thomas was a man of great kindness and generosity who always tried to help people. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
Thomas is survived by his wife of 30 years, Christine; a daughter, Donna Franco of New Orleans; a Step-son, Edward Lindsley of Atlanta; a Step-son David Csordos and his wife Celeste, of Hazlet; two grandchildren, Ashley and Bryan Csordos; a Sister, Mary Anne Graziano of Florida and several nieces and nephews.
There will be a Memorial Gathering on Friday, June 20th from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Manchester Memorial Funeral Home, 28 Schoolhouse Rd., Whiting. A Funeral Service will be held in the Funeral Home on Friday at 1:30 p.m. Interment will be private with Military Honors at the Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veterans' Memorial Cemetery, Arneytown. In lieu of flowers and because of Tom's love of animals, donations in his name to the Popcorn Park Zoo, Humane Way, Forked River, NJ 08731 would be greatly appreciated.
