Obituary of Carl Hein

Carl A. Hein, 96, of Whiting, NJ, passed away Tuesday, June 3, 2014 at Deborah Heart and Lung Center in Browns Mills, NJ. Born in Bayshore, Long Island, NY, he lived in Islip, NY before moving to Whiting in 1985. Carl was an aircraft mechanic for Grumman Aircraft Corporation, Beth Page, Long Island, NY for 24 years, retiring in 1979. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He was a fireman for the Bayshore Fire Department and was a member of the Grumann Retiree Club, the Crestwood Village VI Safety Patrol and the VFW Memorial Post #8745, Whiting. He was a member of St. Stephen's Episcopal Church, Whiting. Carl was predeceased by his wife, Jane in 1990. He is survived by one daughter, Kathy Dineen; three sons, Albert, Kevin and Peter; six grandchildren and one great-grandson. Visitation will be Friday, June 6th from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at Manchester Memorial Funeral Home, 28 Schoolhouse Road, Whiting with a Service at 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
