Obituary of Dorothy Siracusa
Dorothy L. Siracusa, 94, of Whiting, passed away Tuesday May 27, 2014 at Community Medical Center. Born in Newark, she lived in Piscataway and the Silver Ridge section of Toms River for 20 years before moving to Whiting. Dorothy was an assembly woman for Cornell-Dublier, as well as a sales associate for Bamberger's in Plainfield and Lobel's in Somerville. She was a member of the Bayville VFW Ladies Auxiliary and a communicant of St Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, Whiting and St Maximilian Kolbe, Toms River.
Dorothy was predeceased by her first husband, Tom Campanelli in 1962 and her second husband, Paul Siracusa. She is survived by her son, Thomas Campanelli of Sarasota, FL; her daughter, Barbara Abernathy of Brentwood, TN; her four sisters, Catherine Jarema, Barbara Papa, Florence Stites, and Lucille Recker; four grandchildren, Jennifer, Lisa, Amy and Thomas and a great-granddaughter, Violet Rose.
A Memorial Mass will be offered, Saturday, May 31st at 10:45 a.m. at the All Saints Chapel of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, 30 Schoolhouse Rd, Whiting. Interment will be 12 p.m., Monday, June 2nd at Holy Redeemer Cemetery, South Plainfield, NJ. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the Deborah Hospital Foundation, PO Box 820, Browns Mills, NJ 08015.
