Obituary of Lee DeLeonard
Lee H. DeLeonard, 80, of Whiting, passed away Saturday, May 17, 2014 at the home of his daughter. Born in Jersey City, he lived in Emerson before moving to Whiting in 1997. Lee was a carpenter-wire foreman for Allied Signal Company, Teterboro, NJ for 32 years, retiring in 1997. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War and a member of the VFW in Washington Twp., NJ. He was a communicant of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, Whiting.
Lee is survived by his wife of over 60 years, Lorraine; one son, Lee H. DeLeonard, Jr.; one daughter and son-in-law, Vicki and Walter Hamilton; one brother, Donald DeLeonard; nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Visitation will be Wednesday, May 21st from 6 to 9 p.m. with a Funeral Service to be held at 8 p.m. at Manchester Memorial Funeral Home, 28 Schoolhouse Road, Whiting. Interment will be 11 a.m., Thursday, May 22nd at George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the Associated Humane Society, P.O. Box 43, Forked River, NJ 08731-0043.
