Obituary of Madeline Marchitto

Madeline Marchitto, 92, of Whiting, passed away Saturday, May 10, 2014 at Community Medical Center in Toms River. Born in Jersey City, she lived there until she moved to Whiting in 1993. Madeline was a data entry clerk at Bank of America, Jersey City. She was a member of the Women's Club of Crestwood Village 5 and a communicant of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, Whiting. Madeline was predeceased by her son, Thomas Marchitto in 1996 and two brothers, Dominic and Anthony Lanni. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Michael Marchitto; one daughter, Josephine Marchitto of Whiting and one grandson, Michael. Visitation will be Wednesday, May 14th from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at Manchester Memorial Funeral Home, 28 Schoolhouse Road, Whiting. A Funeral Liturgy will be offered Thursday, May 15th at 9 a.m. at the All Saints Chapel of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, Whiting. Interment will follow at Holy Name Cemetery, Jersey City, NJ. In lieu of flowers, donations in Madeline's name may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
