Obituary of Kurt & Paula Boehnke

Kurt Boehnke, 85, of Whiting, passed away Wednesday, February 5, 2014 at home. His wife, Paula Boehnke, 85, passed away Monday, March 3, 2014 at Whiting Healthcare Center. Kurt was born in Bremen, Germany. He came to the United States in the late 50's. He was a machine operator for Maxwell House Coffee, Hoboken for 25 years, retiring in 1986. Paula was born in Eigeltingen, Germany. She came to the United States in 1962. She was a seamstress. They lived in Cliffside Park before moving to Whiting several years ago. They were communicants of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, Whiting. Paula is survived by one sister, Elsa Vogt of Germany. They are both survived by three nieces, Karin Graf, Inge Thoma and Heidi Greuling and one nephew, Heinz Boehnke, all of Germany. Cremation is private. Inurnment will be held at 1:30 p.m., Friday, March 7th at the All Saints Chapel of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, 30 Schoolhouse Road, Whiting. Arrangements are under the direction of Manchester Memorial Funeral Home, Whiting.
