Obituary of Lilyan Tekien

Lilyan M. Tekien, 91 of Whiting, passed away Friday, February 21, 2014 at home. She was born in Elizabeth, NJ and lived there until she moved to Whiting in 1983. Lilyan was an accounting clerk for Exxon Corp., Linden, NJ for 32 years, retiring in 1983. Lilyan was predeceased by one brother, Walter Tekien, two sisters, Edna Nolbert and Helen McVey and a nephew, Richard Nolbert. She is survived by two sisters, Sophia Tekien of Lincroft, NJ and Wanda Wessel of Tobyhanna, PA; three nieces, Lisa Caulfield, Mary and Katie Wessel and three nephews, Tom, Jim and Wayne Wessel. A Funeral Liturgy will be offered at 10 a.m., Wednesday, Feb. 26th at St. Genevieve Church, Elizabeth. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Linden, NJ.
